Barbara E. Asta (nee: Beffert) of Bucks County, PA passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, June 28, 2022, at her daughter’s home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 89. Barbara was a devout Catholic, devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed baking, cooking, needlepoint, and crocheting, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Bobbie, as she liked to be called, possessed many remarkable qualities including calmness, kindness, intelligence, and love of learning, which set an example to others, especially her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Benjamin D. Asta, her parents, Joseph and Helen Beffert, and six of her siblings. Barbara will be greatly missed by her children Jacob Asta and his wife Jo Ann, Tomasina Chamberlain and her husband David, Helen Oresik, Joseph Asta and his wife Karen, Christine Holt and her husband Kyle, her grandchildren Dominick, Jennifer, James, Laura, Thomas, Andrew, Savanna, Benjamin, Katherine, and Kyle. She will also be greatly missed by her brothers, Terry and Arthur Beffert, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather Tuesday evening, July 5, 2022, from 7 - 9 pm and Wednesday morning from 8:30 – 9:30 am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA 19007. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 am at St Ann Church, 357 Dorrance St, Bristol. Interment will follow at St Mark Cemetery.
