Anthony Iannucci

Anthony (Tony) Iannucci, Sr., 90, of Bristol, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

Tony was born in Sant’Agata dei Goti in the province of Benevento, Italy, to the late Vincenzo Iannucci and Maria Carmina Della Ratta. He moved to the United States with his wife Maria (Mary) Palma in 1953. Tony was a hardworking man with a talent as an auto repair specialist.  He opened his own business, Valley Auto Body, in Bristol, PA with the motto, “No job too big or too small.”  Tony successfully operated it for 38 years until he retired in 1998. All who dealt with him respected his attention to detail, his skill and precision, and his fair and honest business practices. He was a strong role model for his sons—both in work and in life.

Not only did Tony flourish in his business, he and Mary grew a bounty of vegetables in their garden. They were active members of the Bristol community and St. Ann Parish.  Tony was an avid baseball fan who enjoyed attending Sunday Phillies games with his family for 20 years.  He was a tinkerer and took great pleasure in helping others. All Tony had to hear was: it’s broke or it doesn’t work, and he would happily say, “I’ll fix it.”   

Tony was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, businessman and friend. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mary; two sons, Vincent and Anthony; two loving grandchildren, Daniel and Marie; two great-grandchildren, Enzo and Chloe; and sister Assunta. He was preceded in death by his brother Alfonso and sister Gertruda. He will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life mass will the held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 21, at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, 357 Dorrance St., Bristol, Pennsylvania 19007. Family will receive friends prior to the mass from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.  Entombment will follow the funeral mass at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, Pennsylvania 19020.
