Alexander Schepelenko, 77, of Morrisville, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Alex was born on March 26, 1946, in Germany as his Ukrainian family fled the perils of WWII. His family settled in Morrisville, PA where he enjoyed a full childhood and graduated from Morrisville High School. After serving in the US Army, he co-founded Eagle Dancer Trading Co., worked as a draftsman for Allstate Engineering, an inventor for DuPont, a construction lead for Keystone Mausoleums and was also a self-employed carpenter for many years.
Alex was a wonderful father and a devoted Pop-Pop. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was happiest when he was surrounded by family. He was a talented artist, a gifted craftsman, an avid guitarist, a blues aficionado, and the ultimate Mr. Fix-it. Those blessed enough to know him were inspired by his carefree spirit, his unconditional love, and his enthusiasm for simply living life.
Predeceased by his parents Peter and Nina Schepelenko, he is survived by his daughters, Daria Schepelenko and Nicole (Sammy) Rodriguez, his grandchildren, Andre Ibarrondo, Angelina and Alexia Singh, Sammy and Nina Rodriguez, and Malanya Schepelenko-Dodson. He will also be greatly missed by his brother, Ivan (Donna) Schepelenko, sister Nadia (Mark) Salaga, lifelong friends Doreen and Mark Spiel, nieces, a nephew, and many other special friends he considered family.
Alex’s life will be celebrated by those closest to him with a private memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Patient Advocate Foundation, 421 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, VA 23666.
