Nancy Berry (nee: Lowe), age 68, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2010, at St. Mary Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Phila., and has been a resident of this area for the past 30 years. She was an employee of Tastycake Inc. on Hunting Park Avenue where she worked as a Machine Operator. Nancy was a very independent woman who was fiercely loyal to her family and friends. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and working with stain glass; but most of all she loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Anna Lowe; her sister Marie Rook; and her brothers-in-law William Long, Thomas Rook, and George Butler. She will be greatly missed by her husband Bill Berry to whom she was married to for over 48 years; her daughter Nancy A. Berry; her sisters Anna Long, Ada Butler, Margaret “Peggy” Miller and her husband Frank, and Barbara Lomman and her husband Joe; her brother Thomas Lowe and his wife Ann Louise; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to call Mon., 7-9pm, and Tues., 9-10am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Levittown, followed by her religious service beginning at 10am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Mary Hospital for the care they gave to Nancy.
