Lois Mortimer

Lois Mortimer (nee: Banff), age 59, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at her residence. Born in Mt. Holly, NJ, she graduated from Riverside High School and was a longtime resident of Delran, NJ. She worked for Home Interiors & Gifts Inc. for many years from her home. Later, she worked for Best Jewelry in various locations. In the years following, Lois and her husband Jim worked side by side for the last 15 years as owners and operators of Jim Mortimer Jewelers located in Burlington, NJ. Together they both enjoyed boating and spending summers with their friends in Chesapeake City, MD. She was preceded in death by her parents David and Elaine Banff. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 12 years Jim; her children Craig Laird of Saranac Lake, NY, Julie Sapnar and her husband John of Mt. Holly, NJ, Christopher Laird of Voorhees, NJ, Jim Mortimer Jr. of Burlington, and Christy Louella and her husband Jeff of Feasterville. She is the loving grandmother of Alyssa, Tyler, Jocelyn, Jayda, and newly born twins Dean and Raegan; and sister of Kurt of Burlington. She will also be missed by her lifelong friend of 25 years Karla Avakian who together they traveled and laughed and were best friends; and her “furry kids” Lo-e and Kitty. Relatives and friends are invited to call Wed., 5:30pm., at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Levittown, followed by her religious service and remembrance at 8pm in the funeral home.
