Sarah Slagel

Sarah M. Slagel, of Southampton, was taken suddenly on November 6, 2010. She joins her recently departed husband, Verl Dean Slagel, to share their 60th wedding anniversary on November 17. Sarah’s family was the most important thing to her. At any age, in any condition, she was always there for whomever needed anything. All who visited were fed to their fullest and left with their hearts desire. Sarah was very artistic. She played the guitar, piano, and sang with her grandchildren. She always had an arts and crafts project to work on. She sewed anything from costumes to curtains, and even made and designed the most beautiful Christmas stockings to be filled and given to all the children in her family on St. Nick night. She is survived by a loving family, daughter Juanita Marie Onichimowski (Amber, Crystal, and SarahDean); son Joseph Dean Slagel (Joseph Jr. and Heather), son John David Slagel (Christine Clifton); great grandchildren Jadalyn Covelusky and Elijah, Josiah, and Caleb Clifton; sister RoseMarie Weber, and sister-in-law Margaret Barnett; as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Relatives and friends may call Monday, 9:30-11:30am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, where a funeral service will begin at 11:30am in the funeral home.
