Mary DeMaria

Mary DeMaria, age 86, of Levittown, PA, passed away on Sat., September 11, 2010 at Chandler Hall in Newtown, PA. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she has been a resident of Levittown since 1952. She was a former volunteer for Lower Bucks Hospital. She was a member of the Golden Marks Senior Citizens in Bristol and was very active with the Silver Sneakers of the Levittown YMCA. She, along with her late husband Val, loved dancing with each other and friends at the former Paso Doble in Levittown. Mary was a typical Italian mom who loved cooking for and spending time with family; especially at holidays. She also loved traveling the United States and the world with her late husband. She will be sadly missed by her children Catherine Giagnocovo and her husband Richard, Diane Kasperitis, Rosemary Roberts, Salvatore DeMaria and Stephen DeMaria. She is also the loving grandmother of 7; and survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tues., 11am-1pm, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Levittown. Interment will take place at a later date with her husband in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
