Doris Ciccanti

Doris M. Ciccanti (nee: Iorio), age 89, of Banks Acres, Ocean View, DE, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2010 at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in the Tacony section of Philadelphia, she was a resident of Bristol Borough for many years before moving to Ocean View, DE, in 1976. She, along with her husband Armand, owned and operated Chic’s Pizza in Bristol Boro. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. in DE. Doris was an accomplished seamstress and loved to cook Italian meals for her family and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband Armand “Chic” Ciccanti; and will be greatly missed by her children Lou Ciccanti and his wife Lori of Ocean View, DE, Marianne Bourke and her husband Bob of Buckingham, PA, and Joanne Venturino and her husband Joe of Bristol Township. She is survived by her adoring grandchildren Joe, Dawn Marie and Matthew Ciccanti, Kimberly Ford (Matt), Melanie Propato (Stefano), and Carla Venturino; and great grandchildren McKalya and Matthew Ford, Domenico and Stefano and soon-to-be born baby Milla Propato. She is also survived by her brother Rocco Iorio (Rose Marie) of Phila.; and sister-in-law Ann Egeberg of Ocean View, DE; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday, 10am, at Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe St., Bristol. Funeral service will begin 12noon in the funeral home.
