Gerard Vanucci

Gerard L. Vanucci, age 66, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2010 surrounded by his family. He was born in Abington Hospital and raised in Bristol Boro. He was a former employee of the Neshaminy School District. He was an accomplished pianist who was a regular performer at Palumbo’s Restaurant in Phila. He was an avid Phillies sports fan, and enjoyed golfing, fishing, laughing; and especially the time he spent with his grandchildren. He was a local sports coach at Immaculate CYO, and Levittown International. He was preceded in death by his father Frank Vanucci. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, of over 42 years, Gerry (nee: DiMatteo); his children Gary and his wife Debbie, Greg and his wife Kim, and Gina Clark and her husband James. He is the beloved Grandpop of Justin, Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Dominic, Anthony, Zachary and Ryan; and devoted son of Christina Vanucci (nee: Lombardo) and brother of Gail Vanucci. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Thomas DiMatteo and his wife Jackie; his nephews Richard and Vincent DiMatteo; and many cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Tues., 7-9pm, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Rd. All are invited to celebrate his funeral Mass Wed., 11am, at Immaculate Conception Church (5201 Emilie Rd., Levittown, PA). Burial will follow at a later date.
