Charles Dubuc

Charles E. Dubuc Jr. departed this earth on February 19, 2010 at age 58. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island, and is the son of Marie A. Dubuc (Daniels) and the late Charles E. Dubuc. Charlie was a lifelong horseman. He began his training career in his home state at Narragsett and Lincoln Racetracks. After graduating from Smithfield High School in 1969, he moved to the Philadelphia area to train Thoroughbred racehorses. In recent years, he had his own horse transportation business. He was a member of HBPA. He is also survived by his son Charles Edward and his mother Barbara, sisters Mary Bruce and her husband Tim of Carmel, Indiana, Claudia Lussier and her husband Normand of Warwick, RI, brother Daniel and his fiancée Maria Ortiz, and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was held Feb. 24 at Conwell Egan Catholic High School. Burial took place in Resurrection Cemetery on Feb. 25. A memorial service was held at Philadelphia Park Race Track on Feb. 26.
