Nicholas J. Boruch Sr., age 83, of Levittown, PA, died on March 12, 2010 at St. Mary Hospital. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he along with his wife, moved to the newly developed Levittown area over 55 years ago. He was an employee of Remmington-Rand where he worked on the Univac Project which produced the world’s first computer. Later, he was employed with United Aircraft and eventually retired from an HVAC design firm. Mr. Boruch was a WWII Navy Veteran who served on the Aircraft Carrier USS Gilbert Islands in the Pacific Theatre. He loved fishing; especially with his grandchildren whom he adored. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 58 years Elizabeth (nee: Finegan) Boruch; his children Nicholas Boruch (Dawn M.) of Levittown, Marie Roarty of Fairless Hills and Betty Helstrom of Langhorne; and his grandchildren Joshua, David, Amanda, Marie and Nicholas. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, 9:30am, at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Pkwy., Levittown, PA, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am. Interment will be conducted at a later date at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. The family requests contributions be made to Nicholas’ wife Elizabeth c/o Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA 19007.
