Anthony Longhitano, age 88, passed away February 15, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Bristol, PA, he was a WWII Army Veteran who served as a “Glider” during the invasion of Normandy. He worked at “Longhitano Pizza”; a family business. He will be remembered as a loving, caring, and generous person who was devoted to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Gaetano and Maria Longhitano; his beloved wife of 61 years Josephine (nee: Micalizzi); his brothers “Barney” Longhitano and “Sally” Longhitano; and his 2 sisters Anna Benedetto and Mary Micalizzi. He will be sadly missed by his daughters Maria Lange and Cynthia Longhitano. He is the beloved grandfather of John, Marc (Jackie) and Curt (Olibia); and great grandfather of Anthony, Samantha, Curt Jr., Katelyn, and Tiffany. He is also survived by a sister Josephine Mussara; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Sat., 1pm, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road. A memorial service will begin at 3pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery at a later date. The family requests no floral tributes. They wish to express their appreciation toward Odyssey Hospice for the support they showed during a very difficult time.
