Michael O'Connor Sr.

Thomas Michael O’Connor, Sr. “Oakie” age 87, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2010 at his sons residence. He was born and raised in Springfield, MA. He was a proud veteran of the United Sates Army Aircorp. and served in World War 11 where he worked as an aircraft mechanic and after his retirement from his military duty moved to Kilarney, Ireland. He returned back to the Untied States and resided in Levittown with his son due to medical complications. Thomas continues to hold dual citizenship between the United States and Ireland. He was a very proud to be Irish. Thomas was a hard working “old school” father, grandfather and brother. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary O’Connor (nee Keenan), his granddaughter Erin O’Connor and his grandson Rick O’Connor; brothers John and Mike O’ Connor; sister Nora Snow. He will be sadly missed by his children Michael O’Connor, Kathy Dupuis and her husband Bill, Rick O’Connor, Thomas M. O’Connor, Jr. and his wife Pat, and David O’Connor and his wife Jeanne. Also he is survived by his 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Dee and Barbara; nieces; nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday eve from 6 to 8pm at the Galzerano Funeral Home 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Rd. Followed by his Religious Services 8pm at the funeral home.
