Susan Embessi

Susan J. Embessi (nee: Stewart) of Levittown, PA, passed away suddenly on Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at St. Mary Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a longtime resident of Bristol Boro before moving to Levittown in 1975. She was an English Teacher at Neshaminy Middle School for many years until her recent retirement. Susan was a warm, caring, and generous person who loved soap operas, reading, and dining out; but most of all she loved the annual family trip to the Outer Banks. Susan cherished her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her loving daughter Renee Stewart and her husband Derek, Suzanne Embessi and her fiancé George Sabo all of Levittown, and Jennifer Johnson and her husband Robert of Lake View, NY. Her adoring grandchildren called her by many names. She was known as “Ten Ten” to Spencer, Avery, and Ella; “Grammy” to Madison, Gabrielle and Nicholas; and “Baby” to Kyle and Paige. She is also survived by her mother Florence Stewart (nee: Brannigan) with whom she resided. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wed., 7-9pm, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Levittown and Thur., 9am, at Harriman United Methodist Church on Wilson Avenue in Bristol Boro where funeral services will begin at 10am. Interment will follow in Beechwood Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Susan’s name to Gift of Life, 2000 Hamilton St., Phila., PA 19130.
