Walter H. Chew, age 82, of Bristol, passed away at Frankford Hospital in Philadelphia on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Hatfield, PA, he was a resident of Philadelphia before moving to Bristol 55 years ago. He was the founder of Action Safe & Lock, and retired 24 years ago. In his youth, he traveled extensively throughout the world with the Merchant Marines. Later, he entered the U.S. Army. He was predeceased by his sons Bruce and Gregory. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 63 years Lucia (nee: Gattis); his sons Kenny and his wife Cindy of Bensalem and Dennis Chew of Bristol Township; his daughter Luanne Jacobs and her husband Charlie of Bristol Township; his grandchildren Kenny Jr., Bruce Jr., Bryan, Kevin, Shane, and Averi; and 7 adoring great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Jerry Chew and sister Arlene both of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are by Galzerano Funeral Home.
