Anna M. DiIorio

Anna M. DiIorio, age 89, of Bristol, PA, passed away on Sat., Dec. 5, 2009 at the home of her daughter in Bristol Boro. Born and raised in Bristol Boro, she raised her family in Levittown and moved back to Bristol 10 years ago. Anna was a loving and caring woman who always put her family first. She was active, along with her late husband, with the Levittown American Little League and the Levittown Pop Warner Football League. She was also active with the Golden Marks, the Woman of the Moose, the Lower Bucks Seniors, the Red Hats-Bristol Stompers, the Catholic Daughters, and was an honorary member of the Bella Gente Lodge. She was lovingly teased in her family for foiling an armed robbery where she was an employee at the former Bangles & Beads. She was the devoted widow of Thomas P. DiIorio; and mother-in-law of the late Vaughn Ward Sr. She will be greatly missed by her children Diane Ward with whom she resided, and Tom DiIorio and his wife Christine of Haddon Heights, NJ; her loving grandchildren Vaughn Ward Jr. and his wife Anita, Debbie Brady, Denise McErland and her husband Bill, Michael DiIorio, Christopher DiIorio and his wife Berniece, and Thomas C. DiIorio; and many adoring great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Sebastian “Bubs” Paglione, & Frank, Peter and Joseph Rubino; sisters Lucy Schreiver and Eva Manera; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thurs. 7-9pm and Fri. 8:30-9:15am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Levittown. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am at St. Ann Church in Bristol. Interment will follow in St. Mark Cemetery.
