Karen Martin Corcoran

Karen Martin Corcoran, age 39, suddenly passed away on November 18, 2009 at Nazareth Hospice. Born and raised in Levittown, she was a graduate of Bishop Conwell H.S. Class of 1988. Previously, she worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Nancy Jolley DMD, and more recently has been at home raising her children. She will be remembered as an out-going, soft spoken person with an infectious smile. Her 1st love was her children. She enjoyed her daily trips to the park and also loved spending time with her children reading to them and taking long walks. Many of the moments that made Karen happy were the times she spent with her family. She will be sadly missed by her parents Bernard and Diane (nee: Nagy) Martin; her children Brian Corcoran, & Hannah and Colin Barford; her fiancée Eric Barford; her brother Daniel Martin and his wife Anne and their children Isaiah, Elijah and Sarah; her sister Christina Fredericks and her husband John Atkinson Jr. and their children Nicole, Michael Jr., Joshua, Joseph and Brandon; her paternal grandmother Mary Conover; and her maternal grandmother Lenore Nagy. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday, 7-9pm, and Tuesday, 8:30-9:15am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Rd., Levittown. Funeral Mass will begin 10am at Queen of the Universe Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
