Robert E. Bubnis

March 27, 1931 — November 15, 2009

Robert Edward Bubnis, fondly known as “Bob the Baker”, passed away November 15, 2009 after a long battle with diabetes. Born and raised in Shenandoah, PA, he has been a resident of this area since 1960. He was the owner and operator of Yudinsky & Bubnis Bakery in Shenandoah. He also worked at Rohm & Haas in Bristol, PA, until his retirement in 1981. Mr. Bubnis was a U.S. Navy Vet and a U.S. Marine Corps Vet of the Korean War. He was a member of Columbia Hose Co. #1 in Shenandoah and the American Legion. He is the son of the late Edwina Alsheski-Bubnis and Joseph Bubnis. He was predeceased by his daughter Judi Rose Bubnis and son William Robert “Babe” Bubnis. He is survived by his wife Joan (nee: Rose) Bubnis of Pt. Orange, FL/Bensalem, PA; and his daughters Robin Bubnis-Parko and her husband Jeff of Lafayette, CO, and Wendy Deyo of Pt. Orange, FL. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren Chaz Boyd of Feasterville, PA, & Kaitlin and Guy Picciotti of Pt. Orange, FL. A Memorial Service will be held at the Presbyterian Church in Bristol on Sunday, November 29, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
