Edward J Starry, Jr.

Edward J. Starry, Jr. passed away peacefully on June 12, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center after a short battle with cancer. He just turned 62 on May 31st. Edward worked for Rite-Aid Corp as a receiver for 28 years. He also worked as a part time custodian for the Pennsbury School District for 18 years. Edward was a big fan of Nascar, the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Phillies. But his greatest enjoyment in life was gambling at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City with his wife. He was preceded in death by his mother Ethel Starry. He was the husband of Rose M. Starry, the father of Jason Starry and Ashley (Starry) Perrins and the stepfather of Bill Hendershot and Cheryl (Hendershot) Anderson. He was the son of Edward Starry, Sr. and the brother of Pam O’Brien, Debbie Vittitow and Lisa Starry. He also has several nieces, nephews and cousins and a large extended family of in-laws that loved him dearly. He will be missed by his many co-workers at Rite-Aid including his best friend Frank Glassmire. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057. Interment will be held privately. Family requests that there be no flowers sent, please donate to an animal shelter or rescue agency of your choice.
