Robert A Devlin, Sr.

May 4, 1940 — February 5, 2017

Robert A. Devlin Sr of Levittown passed away peacefully on February 5, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 76. Born in Philadelphia, raised in Bensalem, he was in the United States Navy in the Vietnam War, he retired as Chief Petty Officer after 23 years, then as an IT Specialist for Unisys. Bob was an avid sailor who enjoyed traveling and coached many sports teams but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Ruth Devlin, his brother Henry Devlin III, his sister Lois McKay and son-in-law James J.Curran. Bob will be greatly missed by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years Dorothy, his children Robert A. Devlin Jr (Carol), Catherine Calderin (Emilio), Teresa Curran and Elizabeth Trowell (Eric), his grandchildren Rachael, Emilio, Alexander, Andrew, Nicholas, Elyse, Olivia, Alysha and his 4 great grandchildren. He will also be greatly missed by his sister Ruth Ann Peacock and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bob’s funeral Mass, Tuesday, February 14, 2017 10 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056. Interment will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 75817, Topeka, KS 66675-8517.
