Andrew Rosario Magazzu

Andrew R. Magazzu, age 96, of Bristol, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Silver Lake Center. Born in Olney, PA, he was a resident of Croydon for almost 80 years. He was a graduate of St. Lawrence Grade School, Upper Darby, and West Catholic High School; and attended Lycoming College and Atlantic Utility Trade School. He was a television and radio technician repairman at Fleetwings for several years; and eventually opened R.A.M. Radio located on Bristol Pike in Croydon. During this time, he also worked as a projectionist for his parents at the former Ritz Theatre. Mr. Magazzu was also a WWII Army Veteran. He was predeceased by his loving wife Mary Rose C. (nee: Gordon), and will be greatly missed by his children, Rosemary Pozzi, Ritamarie Lovell (late Jim), Andrea Robena (late Fred), Candy Schidelman (Steve), and Lulu Brennen. He was also loved by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, one Godson Andrew Rosario Tummarello, nieces, nephews and many cousins. He also had a sister Romelda Fennisey. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, January 20, 2017 9 – 10 am at St. Ann Church, 357 Dorrance Street, Bristol, PA. Funeral Mass will begin at 10 am. Interment will be at St Mark Cemetery with Military Honors.
