Edward Thomas York

Edward Thomas York, age 66, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 19, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA. Edward proudly served in the United States Army. Although Edward loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren who adored him, he equally enjoyed music, sports and food. Edward was retired from Morrisville School District, Grandview Elementary School after 23 years. The staff and children loved him dearly and gave him the name, Mr. Ed. He was in Maintenance but also was the fill in Secretary, Gym Teacher and any other position that needed to be filled. Edward is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years Gladys, his daughters Gladys (John), Julia (Josh) and Marlana, 3 grandchildren, Sean, Natalie and Avery. His sisters Catherine (Ed), Theresa (Mark). His sister in laws Elizabeth, Christine (Doug), Lois (Edward). His nieces and nephews, Kimberly, Kelly, Eddie, Cory, Gia, Bill, Michael, Peter, Jennifer, Kimberly and Tom. Also, Ed has great nephews and nieces who were also a big part of his life. Edward will be placed in the Veterans Columbarium in Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA.
