Paul Joseph Erdman passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016, surrounded by his family. He found peace after a long, difficult battle with cancer. He was 62. Paul grew up in Delaware County and lived in Levittown for the past 32 years. He graduated from the school of hard knocks in 1972. After a long career as a heavy equipment operator, Paul spent the last 10 years as a small business owner. Paul enjoyed diverse hobbies and interests. He could frequently be seen racing his speed boat along the Delaware River between Morrisville and Philadelphia or between Cape May, NJ and Rehobeth, DE every summer. He also loved the beach, SCUBA diving, skiing and attending a wide range of live sporting events. He had a great love for music, family and random trivia. Paul was a hardworking husband and father and a very devoted grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Marie Cathleen (Cathy) and their three sons: Dr. Patrick Erdman and his wife McCaa, Brian and Kevin; his grandson, Aidan; his sisters Loretta and Suzanne, his brother Matthew; his sister-in-law Linda, another sister-in-law Linda and numerous nephews and nieces. He is the son of the late Thomas and Theresa Erdman. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday evening November 18, 2016 from 6 – 8 pm at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057 and again on Saturday morning from 9 – 10 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am. Burial will be held privately at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Paul’s family has requested donations in his name to The Gift of Life Foundation at 401 North 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123.
