Surrounded by his loving family, Richard M. Bain passed away peacefully on Friday, November 11 following a lengthy illness.
Born in Philadelphia in January of 1948 to the late Horace and Marjorie Witt Bain, Rich and his parents were original Levittown residents; Rich bought his own Levittown home and continued to live there until his death. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1966 and served 6 years in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard.
Rich was a retired HVAC designer who spent many enjoyable Saturdays watching Penn State football. He loved attending productions at the Bristol Riverside Theatre and sitting outside smoking a good cigar.
Rich is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karen (Shema) Bain, his children Mike, Kristin, and Lauren, his grandchildren Olivia and Kiera, brothers-in-law Dan Shema and Jack Shema, mother-in-law Betty Shema, his Aunt, Dot Kerr and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 6 -8 pm at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, kindly perform a random act of kindness in Rich’s honor and/or bring a small dessert to the memorial service.
