Mary Frances Asta

Mary Frances Asta, age 69, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2016 at Lower Bucks Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Bristol Borough, she was a graduate of Bristol High School class of 1965 and received a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Holy Family University in 1969. She was employed by the State of New Jersey as an information technology specialist. Following retirement, she worked at Sesame Place and most recently at Messina Real Estate. Mary Frances was lifelong parishioner of St. Ann Church in Bristol Borough and was the treasurer of Golden Marks. She enjoyed spending her summers by the pool and taking trips to the beach, especially to her family’s beach house in Seaside NJ. Mary Frances was an avid reader, a patron of the performing arts, a generous philanthropist and well-seasoned traveler covering much of the globe before she passed; but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Nardine and Eva Asta, her sister Donna Gorton and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Mary Frances will be greatly missed by her niece Darlene Bergener and her husband Jason and their two children Julianna and McKenna, and her nephew Daren Gorton. She will also be greatly missed by her brother in law Donald Gorton, her Aunts Gloria Cordisco and Barbara Asta and many cousins and good friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, November 12th from 9-11am at St. Ann Church, 357 Dorrance St. Bristol Pa 19007. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am.
