Israel Maldonado Velez

Israel Maldonado Velez Sr better known as Izzy or PapiJune 21, 1944 – November 5, 2016 Israel Velez, 72 died on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Chestnut Hill Hospital.  Born June 21, 1944 in Utuado, Puerto Rico to Hipolito and Dolores Velez.  He was a retired tow truck driver and a long time Bristol area resident.  He also enjoyed working with his son Angel Velez at Angel’s Auto Repair and Towing business. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Ismael Velez.  Survived by his wife of 51 years, Marciala Lugo Velez.  Also surviving are his three sons, Israel Velez Jr, Angel Velez, Jose Velez and two daughter-in-laws Ivey Collazo and Yvette Baltazar, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  Three brothers, Luis, Ricardo and Octabio, 5 sisters, Hela, Tita, Aida, Estreja and Hadi and many nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, November 12th from 9:00 – 10:30 am at St Mark Church 1025 Radcliffe St Bristol Pa 19007. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 am.
