Anthony Amato Jr.

Anthony Amato Jr. “Pops” Anthony J. Amato Jr. “Pops”, age 67, of Langhorne, PA, passed away peacefully on Sat., July 11, 2009 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was a resident of Reston, VA, for the past 3 years before moving back to this area 2 months ago. He was a Strategic Manager of Printing Procurement for Sallie Mae in Reston, VA. Anthony was a hardworking and loyal man who loved to make people laugh. He loved golfing in his spare time, and committed many hours to the Bensalem Youth Aid Panel. He also loved cooking Italian and Cajun foods and sharing them with his family. He was an avid college sports fan; and especially loved attending L.S.U. events with his special “angel” Pam Comeaux. He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony Sr. and Viola (nee: Frangippanni). He will be greatly missed by his children Jackie Rand and her husband Scott of Newtown, Anthony W. Amato of Langhorne, and Carolyn Amato and Jennifer Semeraro of Langhorne. He was the proud and doting grandfather of “his girls” Allie Amato, and Marly and Maddie Rand. He is also survived by his former wife and mother of his children Carol Amato; his sisters Dolly Geraci, Concetta Spizzirri (Pete), and Loretta Conti (Nick); and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, 10:30am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Levittown. Funeral service will begin 12:30pm in the funeral home.
