Joseph James Doyle

Joseph James 'Joe' Doyle died suddenly at his home on Saturday, June 18, 2016. He was 67. Joe was the beloved husband of Bonnie (Strathmann) Briegel, to whom he was married for 48 years and people said it would never last. Born in Philadelphia in 1949, he was preceded in death by his parents, Jane Cabrey and Edward Doyle Sr., and his brother, Edward Doyle Jr. He is survived by his children, Joseph (Sandi), Bonnie Dominick (Peter) and Rhiannon Hanratty (Tom), nine grandchildren, and one great grandson. He is also survived by his siblings, Lois, Robert, Mary Jane, Michael and Jane, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Joe was a Director of Bus Maintenance for SEPTA for 34 years. He enjoyed good times with his family and friends, and enjoyed vacations in Wildwood Crest with his entire family and in Marathon, Fla. He also had a passion for classic cars and always had John Lennon and oldies music playing in the background. He will be lovingly remembered as a devoted family man who could fix anything. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, June 22, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm and again Thursday, June 23, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe St., Bristol, PA 19007. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, at St. Mark's in Bristol. In lieu of flowers, donations to Children's Hospital Cardiac Unit of Philadelphia or American Lung Association in his honor would be appreciated.
