Marcelina Herc

Marcelina Herc of Levittown, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Pickering Manor Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was 89. Born and raised in Huszczka Duza, Lublin Poland before immigrating to the United States in 1950 with her family. She enjoyed sewing, cooking baking but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also instilled the love of learning for her two daughters. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Jan Herc of 60 years and her parents Jan and Aniela Goraj. Marcelina will be greatly missed by her daughters Hedwig (John) Rocco, Elizabeth (Tom) Flynn, grandchildren Paul (Davida) Rocco, Susan (Brian) Cupp, Ryan Flynn, great-grandchildren Paige and Avery Cupp, sisters Donna Witek, Alice (Zenon) Kowalski, Janina Ternes, Teresa Kiwalle all of Toms River, NJ, brothers John Goraj in Maine and Joseph (Teresa) Goraj in South Dakota, and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, May 26th, 2016 from 9:30 -10:30 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Donations can be made to Bucks County Women’s Center, 712 New Rodgers Road, Bristol, PA 19007.
