Rose "Little" Salerno

February 4, 1926 — April 9, 2016

Rose “Little” Salerno of Bristol Borough passed away peacefully on April 9, 2016 at Manor Care in Yardley at the age of 90 with her loving family by her side. Rose was born in South Philadelphia, where she lived until the age of 11, when she lost her parents. She moved to Bristol, where she was raised by her uncle and aunt, Joseph and Giagma Ruggeiri. Rose was employed at Simon and Schuster until she retired to spend more time with her family, especially her youngest grandson Andrew. Rose enjoyed travelling, often with her sister and grandchildren, reading and crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents Vito and Antoinette Imperato, her loving husband William L. Salerno, her faithful daughter Denise Salerno and her loving sister Nina Zak. Rose will be greatly missed by her loving son William J. Salerno and Mary Bley, her grandchildren William, Elizabeth, and Andrew and her brother Salvatore Imperato and her sister-in-law Ben Salerno. She will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and her faithful neighbors and friends Catherine Hill and her son John Hill. Relatives and Friends are invited to call on Tuesday evening from 7-9pm and again on Wednesday morning from 8:30-9:30am at the Galzerano Funeral Home 430 Radcliffe St Bristol Pa 19007. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am St Ann Church 357 Dorrance St Bristol PA 19007. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions be made in memory of her name to St Ann Church 1025 Radcliffe St Bristol Pa 19007.
