Catherine Anna Fleming

Catherine Anna Fleming (KayBird) of Bensalem went to be with her Lord Saturday, February 20th, 2016 after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer’s disease at Neshaminy Manor Nursing Home in Warrington surrounded by her loving family. She was 91. Catherine was born in Philadelphia to the late Catherine and William Weber. Kay was a homemaker who loved spending time with her daughters and family. She attended Levittown Beauty Academy with her daughter Sharon and worked at Union Fidelity Insurance Company with her daughter Donna. For many years she volunteered at the Bensalem Senior Center serving luncheons. Her love of music would always find her on the dance floor grooving to the music. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was the beloved wife of the late George E. Fleming, devoted mother to daughters Sharon Johnson (Bob) and Donna Fleming, her grandchildren Nicole Johnson, Christie Hill and Sean P. McElroy, and her great grandchildren Ethan, Nolan, Daniel, and Benjamin. We would like to thank the great staff at Neshaminy Manor for their excellent help and care from May 2012. Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial service Thursday, February 25th at 11:00 am at Grace Episcopal Church, 313 Main Street, Hulmeville, PA 19047. Burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her loving memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
