Carrie Mangiaracina

Carrie Mangiaracina of Bristol passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, at her daughter Carol's home surrounded by her loving family. She was 87. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she had been a lifelong resident of Bristol Boro for the past 70 years. She was a former employee of Freedman's Slip Factory in Bristol and previously worked as a cosmetologist at Vincent Joseph Salon in Levittown. Carrie enjoyed calling and playing Bingo at the Bristol Boro Senior Center, country line dancing, going to gym, ceramics, crocheting, arts and crafts, and playing cards, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gram was proud to attend all her grandchildren's activity's including baseball, basketball, softball, soccer and many shows at the Pennsylvania Ballet. She was preceded in death by her loving husband and friend, Jaspar Joseph Mangiaracina (Goops) and her parents Dominick and Minnie DiStefano. Carrie will be greatly missed by her children, Carol Kessler and her husband, Ron, Anthony Mangiaracina and his wife, Carol, and Maryann Wagner and her husband, Robert Jr.; her grandchildren, Michelle Glasson (Kevin), Ronnie Kessler (Mandy), Joey Kessler, Bobby Wagner III (Lori), Jaclyn Wagner, Matthew Wagner, Rachael Wagner, Stephen, and Jennifer; and 11 great grandchildren and also her sisters Esther Bilardo and Louise Cristen and brother Joe DiStefano. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and again from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe St., Bristol, PA 19007. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. at St. Michael the Arch Angel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown PA 19054. Interment will follow in St. Mark's Cemetery.
