George W. Strimel, Sr.

March 2, 1939 — November 25, 2015

George W. Strimel, Sr. 76 years old of Levittown, PA, formally of Philadelphia. Husband of the late Norma Jean (nee McGrath) passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at St. Mary Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. George worked as a driver for ABF for over 30 years. Member of Teamsters Local 107. George enjoyed fishing and trips to the Pocono Mountains with all his family. Served his country as a Paratrooper in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. George will be remembered best for his love of family and friends, always there to lend a helping hand or tool. George is survived by Michele Casteel, George W. IV and Charles A. Strimel and the late Michael Haag. Brother of Frank and Wayne Strimel, Betty Malloy and the late Arlene Strimel. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Thursday 10 am – 12 pm. Services 12 noon at Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057. Interment will be at a later date at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
