Charles J. Gioffre Sr., age 67, of Levittown, PA, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009 at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Philadelphia, he was a resident of this area since the age of 12. He was the founder and owner of Ballpark Pizza in Langhorne, the former Ballpark Jubilee, the Kenwood Tavern, the Irishman’s Pub, and the One-Stop Deli all of Levittown. Charles loved sports; especially Baseball and the Phillies. He also loved talking with and being around people, and will be remembered as a man with a “Heart of Gold.” He will be greatly missed by his wife and best friend Sharon Stevenson (nee: Shollar); his brothers Joe Gioffre and his wife Carol and Ken Gioffre and his wife Linda; his children Charles Gioffre Jr., Joseph Gioffre, Faith Ann Gioffre and Walt, Nicole Gioffre, Steven Gormley and Angela O’Neil, Cindy Dingley and her husband Art, Stacey Stevenson, and the late Gino and Jay Gioffre. He is also survived by many grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday, 6-9pm, and Tuesday, 10-11am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Levittown.
