Anthony Mario Zanni

Anthony Mario Zanni of Bristol passed away peacefully Monday, September 21, 2015 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was 94.Born and raised in Bristol Boro, he was also a resident of Levittown before moving back to Bristol in 1970. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran who served in World War II. Anthony was a president of the Bristol Levittown and Oxford Valley Lions Club and was the district Governor of 14A from 1985-1986. He also served as a 32 degree Mason with Fairless Hills and was 1980 Chaplin of Four Chaplin’s for Beacon Lodge and a member of the VFW.He will be greatly missed by his loving and devoted wife of 72 years Edith (Lauer) Zanni. Also his children Margaret Shire of Levittown, John Zanni and his wife Lillie of Levittown and Carlotta Monach and husband William of Yardley. Seven grandchildren, William and Jeanine Shire, Patricia and James Armstrong, William (Jr.), Thomas, Andrew and Summer Monach. Anthony J., John and Angela Zanni and 13 Great Grand Children, Olivia Shire, Robert and Philip Armstrong, Chandler and Reilly Monach, William III, MaryCarlton, Christian and Ayden Monach, Reef and Andi Monach, Tonio and Giovannia Zanni. He will also be missed by his niece Mary Grauel and nephews John Straccio, and John Zanni.He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Deacon William Shire, siblings Levia and Ezio Zanni, Isabella (Zanni) Marchese and Emma (Zanni) Straccio.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday 10 – 11:30 am at Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe Road, Bristol, PA 19007. Service will be at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
