Francis J. Flynn, age 84 of Levittown, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 20, 2015. Born in Old Forge, PA, Francis was the youngest of 11 children of the late William and Sara Coyne Flynn. He was a graduate of Old Forge High School, where he was a star football player and drummer in the band. Francis was a veteran of the US Army, having served as a Corporal in the Korean Conflict. He was awarded 2 Bronze Stars in addition to other commendations. Francis was retired after more than 30 years’ service from Western Electric/AT&T. After retirement, he worked for many years with Family Guidance Center. Francis was a long time member of St. Joseph the Worker parish, having served as the Chairman of the Social and Finance Committees, and was active with CYO, Scouts, Bingo, and many other parish activities. Francis is survived by his wife of 59 years, Estelle Gerrity Flynn, his 4 children, Daniel, Erin-Marie, and Michael, all of Levittown and James (Noreen) of Coopersburg, PA; and his 4 grandchildren, Laura Paglione and Sean Flynn of Levittown, and Andrew and Ryan Flynn of Coopersburg, PA. He is also survived by his sister, Rita Graziano of Lake Ariel, PA and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057. Funeral Mass will be held 9:30 AM on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 325 S. Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, PA 19030. Interment will be Friday, September 25, 2015 at 10:00 am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
