John J Kozelski

John J. Kozelski, age 86, passed away peacefully on 1/22/09 at Frankford Bucks Hospital. He was born and raised in Passaic, NJ. He was a U.S. Army Vet of WWII and served as a 1st Lt. and Rifle Platoon Leader with the 80th infantry div. in Europe. He saw action at the Battle of the Bulge and received a Purple Heart, 2 bronze stars and a WWII Victory Ribbon. He was a graduate of Virginia Tech Class of 1944. He was an employee of Wall Colmonoy Co. of Morrisville. He worked as a Branch Plant Mgr. and was instrumental in the formation of the brazing, welding and heat treat div. of that company as well as the ABAR Corp. and Vacuum' Furnace System. After retirement he acted as a Consultant for these companies. He and his wife moved here to the newly formed Levittown area to raise their children. He will be remembered as a very loving, caring and generous man who loved to spend time with his children. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed playing sports in his early years; especially baseball. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus, American Welding Society and the VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents John J. and Catherine Kozelski; and 2 grandchildren Steven and Elizabeth. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 66 years Stephanie (nee: Kraska); and his children Linda Kozelski of Levittown and Kenneth Kozelski and his wife Ginger of Camden, SC. He is the loving grandfather of Jeffery and John Kozelski of Charleston, SC, and Kristen Kozelski of Columbia, SC, and great granddaughter Levi Johnson of Columbia, SC. He is also survived by a daughter-in-law Lanie Kozelski of Columbia, SC; his dear family friend Rene Gesmonde; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to call Wed. 7-9pm and Thur. 8:30-9:30am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Rd., Levittown. Followed by his funeral Mass 10am at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions to Immaculate Conception Church, 5201 Emilie Rd., Levittown, PA 19057.
