Rose Festa

Mrs. Rose M. (Cugasi) Festa was born on April 25, 1930. On Friday, June 5, 2015 God saw fit to bring His sweet rose back to His heavenly garden. Rose was 85 years old. Born in Shenandoah, PA, Rose was a resident of Ewing, NJ, and later Bucks County, PA. She was the devoted wife of the late Benjamin J. Festa Sr. From this union, five children were born. Joseph B. (Donna) Festa Sr. of Bucks County, Benjamin J. Festa Jr. of Arizona, Cynthia A. (Mike) Wollert of California, Dr. Mary R. Festa and Maria R. (John) Gambescia, both of Phila. Rose has five grandchildren: Joey (Megan) Festa Jr., Michael Festa (deceased), Ryan and Samantha Festa and Matthew Wollert; three beautiful great-grandchildren Vincent Colon, Gianna and Enzo Festa; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rose was the loving daughter of Cosomo and Rose Pane Cugasi (deceased). She also was the loving sister and sister-in-law to: Antoinette Ritz, Mary Cugasi (Peter, deceased), Blanche Cugasi (John, deceased), Kate and Joe Ritzo (deceased), Joseph Pane (deceased). She was the sister-in-law to Christine Caraccio (Phil, deceased), Margaret Johnson (Jim, deceased), Mildred and Bill Mahon, Sylvester and Gloria Festa, John and Ginny Festa (deceased), Jerry Festa (deceased) and Antoinette Festa Lauritson. Rose is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Trenton and was employed by the State of New Jersey – Lottery Commission. A faithful member of St. James R.C. and St. Ann’s Church in Lawrenceville, NJ. She was a member of the choir and an active member of the Body of Christ Charismatic prayer group. Rose loved to cook and bake, travel and visit with friends and relatives. Relatives and friends may attend her viewing on Thursday, June 11, from 10-10:30am, at St. George Church, 1370 River Road, Titusville, NJ 08560. A memorial Mass will begin at 10:30am. Committal services will follow at Ewing Cemetery on Scotch Rd., Ewing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rose’s memory to the Festa Foundation Scholarship Fund Inc., 19 Joan Trail, Langhorne, PA 19047.
