Luz Figueroa

Luz Nereida Figueroa, age 68, of Bristol Borough, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Lower Bucks Hospital. Born and raised in Lares, Puerto Rico, she has been a resident of Bristol Borough since 1968. Luz was a wonderful woman who used her “big heart” to love everyone in her family and circle of friends. She also enjoyed gardening and playing Bingo. She is predeceased by her parents Bernardo and Lucia Rivera; her brother Fernando Rivera; and sister Carmen Medina. She is survived by her loving husband Alfonzo Figueroa; her 4 children Betzaida Chetrancolo (Jose), Benedicto Crespo (Nicole), Maritza Ramirez (Roberto), and Priscilla Fenton; her adoring grandchildren Jonathan, Eric, Venessa, Christina, Rolando, Denise, Julian, Michael, Kevin, Christopher, Eduardo, Marcus, Jaycee, Misael, Aneudi, and Marilyn; and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 7 sibling: Felipe Rivera, Bienvenido Rivera, Maria Rivera, Paul Rivera, Miguel Rivera, Louie Rivera, and Migna Rivera.; and host of nieces, nephews, and good friends. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday from 9:30-11am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe Street, Bristol. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30am at St. Mark Church. Interment will follow in St. Mark Cemetery.
