Nicholas Pastore

Nicholas P. Pastore, age 91, of Newportville, PA, since 1957, passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 in his home. He was born in Waltonville, PA, and was raised on a farm in Huntington Valley where he worked from sun up to sun down selling their harvest with his brothers and sister as hucksters. Later, he became a veteran in the U.S. Army where he served as an automotive mechanic in their motorpool in the 82nd Airborne Division during WWII. After the service, from 1950’s to 1970’s, he operated a Sinclair gas station on Rte. 413 where he serviced and inspected all the vehicles for Bristol Township. He also started Nick’s Used Auto Parts; always giving customers a fair deal and a good laugh. Nick was preceded in death by his beloved wife Rose Mary (Gillespie); and will be dearly missed by his children Nicholas, Karen, Anthony, and Patricia; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and many good friends. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, 7pm-9pm, and Saturday, 9:30am-10:15M, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Road in Levittown. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Sat., 11am, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 601 Bristol Pike, Croydon, PA 19021. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
