Patricia Downs

“Patsy” Marie Kelly Downs, age 76, of Levittown passed away suddenly on April 15, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Philadelphia, she was a resident of Bristol Borough for many years before moving to Levittown over 50 years ago. Patsy was employed as a nurse at many local nursing homes before her retirement. She was a kind and gentle person who built her nursing skills into her personal life to help everyone she knew. It you needed help -- you went to Patsy. She also enjoyed traveling with her friends, playing Pinochle with the “Card Club”, and shopping at the dollar store; but most of all she loved being with her family. She was predeceased by her daughter Shirley Ann; her father John Kelly; and her mother and best friend Catherine (nee: Costigan). She will be greatly missed by her children Pattiann Hogue (Mark), Colleen Griffin (Mike), Connie McKellick (Frank), Col. Robert Downs Jr. (Paula), and Michael J. Downs (Cheryl); and her good friend and cousin Charlie. She was also loved by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and good friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, 7pm-9pm, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Road in Levittown.
