Robert Jefferson Jr.

Robert N. Jefferson Jr., age 78, of Tabernacle, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2015 at his daughter’s home in Bristol, PA, surrounded by his loving family. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, before moving to New Jersey in 1963. Robert enjoyed teaching, gardening, animals, history, the Philadelphia Phillies, and anything Military related; but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his daughter Dorothy Samartino and his brother William Jefferson. Robert will be greatly missed by his children Robert III (Susan), Margaret Maier, Donna Burris, and Catherine Petrino (James); his grandchildren Mike, Sarah, Joey, Bobby, Samantha, Bryan, Dorothy, Megan, Melissa, James, Randi, Mikey, David, Nicole, and Michael; and 5 great grandchildren. He will also be greatly missed by his son-in-law Gordon Samartino; his 3 siblings George, John, and Bettyann; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sat., 9-10:45am, at St. Ann Church, 357 Dorrance St., Bristol, PA 19007. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am. Interment will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
