Maria Cordero

Maria Antonia Cordero passed away peacefully Sunday, March 15, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at St. Mary Hospital. She was 73. Maria "Tony" was born August 30, 1941 in Utuado, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Pelegrin & Maria Cordero. She was a long-time resident of Bristol. Maria loved cooking for family and friends, enjoyed going to Bingo, taking long walks, and watching her Spanish soap operas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Luis Angel Rivera; her sisters Blanca Alicia and Iris Caraballo; her brother Ralph Cordero; and her granddaughter Melissa Olmedo. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Annette Martinez, Carmen Caraballo and her husband Eddy, Sandra Gonzales and Jun Yancey, and Marievette Serrano and her husband Rey; her sons Junior Martinez and his wife Olivia, Javier Rivera and his wife Tina, and Joseph Rivera and his wife Stephanie; her sister Miriam Torruellas and her husband Edwin; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing at 9am with a service starting at 10am on Friday, March 20, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Rd. in Levittown, PA 19057.
