Helen Liberatore

October 12, 1920 — March 4, 2015

Helen Liberatore, age 94, passed away on March 4, 2015. She lived in the family home on Lincoln Avenue in Bristol, PA, for 93 years surrounded by caring neighbors, family, friends, and her St. Mark Church. Recently, she spent time in Attleboro Nursing Home in Langhorne, PA, under the excellent care of the 1st floor skilled nursing team. Helen worked at Philco for 35 years where she trained new hires on the assembly line. When Philco relocated, Helen went to work at Delaware Valley Hospital until her retirement. Helen will be remembered for her love of “a good time” which included music, dancing till dawn, and eating out. In her later years, she enjoyed sitting on her porch on Lincoln Avenue reminiscing about the “good times” with friends the Cordisco’s, Fusco’s, Gilardi’s, Chichilitti’s, and Potena’s. Helen was predeceased by her parents Anthony and Julia (nee: Petti) who emigrated to the U.S. along with Anthony’s brothers from Italy. They all made Lincoln Avenue in Bristol “HOME.” She is also predeceased by her sisters Marion DiPinto of Bristol, Dorothy D’Eustachio of Beverly, NJ, and Yolanda Liberatore of Bristol; and her brother Henry “Reds” Liberatore of Bristol. She is survived by her niece Jessica Schimmel of Florida; and cousins Robert (Bobby) and Richard Liberatore, and Maria Fields (Liberatore). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen’s name to St. Mark Church, 1025 Radcliffe St., Bristol, PA 19007. Family and friends may attend her burial at St. Mark Cemetery on Monday, March 16, at 1PM. A memorial Mass in her memory will be announced at a later date.
