Shirley Morris

Shirley M. Morris, age 96, of Lady Lake, FL, passed away on February 13, 2015 at Brightview Assisted Living in Woodbury, NJ. She was born in Scranton, PA, but spent her childhood in Wildwood, NJ; later moving to Philadelphia. She is the daughter of the late Harry and Hazel (nee: Hunt) Peirce. Shirley loved her life in Pennsylvania with her late first husband Wayne Morris. They had a summer place on Manor Lake that they called "Camp" where extended family would join them every summer. After Wayne's retirement they moved to Silver Springs, Florida, enjoying the beautiful weather paddling down many springs. After Wayne's death Shirley married the late Norman Morris (one of Wayne's brothers). Norman and Shirley loved to travel and take cruises. She really enjoyed her life. Shirley is predeceased by her only brother Harry "Bud" Peirce to whom she had a special and loving relationship. She is survived by Bud's children Joan Peirce, June Peirce, Paul Peirce, and Jane Medina. She is also survived by Wayne's nieces Jan Smith, Debbie Territo, Kathy Caldarelli, and Linda Perks. Shirley had a wonderful life with many wonderful people who surrounded her with love. She will be missed by all of us! Family and friends may attend her viewing on Friday from 10-11am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057 where a funeral service will begin at 11am.
