Palmer Bomentre

Palmer William Bomentre, age 80, of Bristol Borough, passed away on Sat., Feb. 7, 2015 at Aria Hospital in Falls Twp. Born and raised in Bristol Borough, he was also a resident of Florida and Arizona before returning to Bristol Borough almost 2 years ago. Palmer was employed as a Bristol Borough Policeman for many years before becoming a Police Sergeant and eventually Detective with Pembroke Pines Police Force in Florida. Palmer was a fun-loving man who enjoyed trips to the casinos; but most of all he loved being with his family and laughing with his friends. He was predeceased by his brothers Joseph, Dominick, and Louis Bomentre. He is survived by his siblings Frank Bomentre of California (and wife Marge), Marie Bomentre of Bristol, Anthony Bomentre of Arizona, Dolores DiNatale of Yardville, NJ, and Thomas Bomentre of Bristol Township. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; his devoted life-long friend Joe Genco; and his beloved service dog Missy. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday (Feb. 17) from 12:30-1pm at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe St., Bristol. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
