Frank Giampico

July 10, 1958 — November 27, 2014

Frank Anthony Giampico of Panama City Beach, FL, formerly of Levittown, PA, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was 56 years old. Born in Bristol, PA, July 10, 1958, he was the son of the late Anthony Giampico Sr. and Barbara (Gallagher) Giampico. He was preceded in death by his Uncle Gregory F. Giampico Sr., Aunt Philomena Sallustio, and Uncle Angelo Sallustio; Cousins Gregory F. Giampico Jr., Kimberly A. Giampico; and his most trusted friend, his dog Max. He was a graduate of Pennsbury High School, class of 1976. He then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. where his dedication, extreme motivation, aptitude, and proven character led him to membership into the special unit of the U.S.M.C. Honor Guard; an elite ceremonial group which is reserved as one of the most prestigious teams comprised of only the best in the Marine Corps. He was stationed at the White House performing ceremonies on behalf of the President of the United States during the Carter Administration. After an honorable discharge from the Corps., Frank, a free spirit, moved around a bit and experienced life on his own terms. He settled down in Panama City Beach, FL, and he worked as a foreman for a commercial contracting company where he painted high-rise buildings and condominiums all along the Panama City Beach coastline. Frank loved the beach and ocean lifestyle. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and was a Florida Gators and Miami Dolphins sports fan; while still remaining true to his Philadelphia Eagles. Known for his love of the open road, Frank was a motorcycle enthusiast and was happiest taking long trips on his Harley and the feeling of freedom gained by simply riding his cycle up and down the Florida coast. He was a true rebel, had a keen sense of humor and lived life fully, experiencing more life in his 56 years than most experience in a much longer lifetime. He had intense love for his family and friends and a fierce sense of loyalty. He will be forever missed. Frank is survived by his loving Aunt Joanie Giampico, Cousins Dana Giampico, Ganine Giampico-Lewis and Kevin Lewis, Becky Pecoraro, and Angie and Clifford Bickel; as well as many friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Wed., 11:15am, at St. Ann Church in Bristol Borough. Burial will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. Donations can be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
