Sally Ann Sabatini

March 9, 1939 — November 19, 2014

Sally Ann Sabatini (nee: Keiper) of Levittown, PA, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2014 at Lower Bucks Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was 75 years old. Born and raised in Noxen, PA, she often visited her Aunts in Bristol, PA where she met the love of her life, John Sabatini, in September of 1957. They were married 4 months later on January 20, 1958. Anyone who has had the honor of knowing them, believe Sally and John’s to be a true love story. Words cannot describe what an amazing person Sally was. There were many things that made Sally happy, but above all was spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sally enjoyed playing practical jokes and was always able to put a smile on the faces of all who surrounded her. As a child, Sally enjoyed walking barefoot in the creek near her home and exploring the outdoors. She never lost her love for adventure and could often be found outside with her family, riding dirt bikes, swimming at Penn Warner Lake, and playing games such as manhunt and softball. She also loved to cook and bake for her family and was known for her many homemade dishes. Sally was always looking for the next adventure and loved to visit Barnegat Light to crab with her children and grandchildren. After 911, Sally volunteered multiple times at Nino’s Restaurant in New York where she cooked and served food to the police, fire departments, first responders, and other volunteers. She had a heart of gold and never hesitated putting others before herself. She also loved traveling with her family and built a life-time of memories attending many Penn-State games and visiting places such as the Wild West, the Grand Canyon, and the Outer Banks; among many other unforgettable trips. Sally was everyone’s number one fan and could always be seen on the sidelines of every school function and sporting event, cheering on her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a role model for all who knew her and her love was so strong, she made everyone feel like family. Sally was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Josephine Keiper; her grandparents Ida and Clayton Keiper; and her granddaughter Jennifer P. Nicely. She is survived by her devoted husband, John Sabatini, of 57 years; and her children, Jonann Sabatini, and Daniela (Sabatini) and Walter Nicely. She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Carina Strong, Tiffany and Carlos Pereira, Kevin McCarthy, and Arielle McCarthy; her great-grandchildren Angelo and Dominic Pereira; as well as many close relatives and dear friends. The family would like to extend special thanks and express their sincere gratitude to the nursing and medical staff in the Intensive Care Unit of Lower Bucks Hospital. Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday (Nov. 24) 7pm-9pm, and Tuesday (Nov. 25) 8am-9:15am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Road, Levittown. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday (Nov. 25) 10am at St. Mark Church, Bristol. Interment will follow in St. Mark Cemetery.
