Thomas Spence Jr.

Born on Christmas Day, 1939, in Philadelphia, Tom passed away on September 17, 2014 with his loving family by his side. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he resided in Levittown for the past 35 years. Tom was predeceased by his beloved wife Harriet (nee: Robson) to whom he was married for 52 years. He was also predeceased by his parents Thomas Sr. and Harriet (nee: Turner); and infant son David. Tom retired after 27 years as a truck driver for Signal Delivery Service, Teamsters local 107, in Philadelphia. Confined to a wheelchair for the past 7 years, he was an inspiration to all who knew him. His many interests included his loving children, trucks, trains, guns, and computing; as well as his 2 dogs and birds. Left to honor his memory are his children Thomas III, Patricia Huth (Peter), Catherine Godshall (Keith), Sandra McAnnaly (Paul), and John (Tammy); and his 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Doris Gillespie (Frank); many nieces and nephews; and his sister-in-law Winnie Roepke. Family and friends are invited to call from 9-10am on Sat., Sept.20, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Rd. in Levittown, PA 19057. A Funeral Service will begin 10am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Bristol Cemetery.
