Frances Messina

Frances Messina of Bristol Boro passed away on Wednesday June 11, 2014 at Lower Bucks Hospital. She was 92. Born and raised in Bristol, she will be missed by all but never forgotten and forever shared an important part in our hearts. Frances believed family was the most important part of life. This was best exemplified by her untiring care for her husband Philip though out his extended illness. In her younger years Frances enjoyed vacationing and golfing with her husband and friends. More than a homemaker she was a caretaker. As a Bristol native Frances found comfort from the local parish St. Ann. She is especially grateful to Father James, Father Girard, and Father Tom. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Philip of 63 years, her sisters Catherine and Phyllis and her brothers Peter and Vincent. Frances will be greatly missed by her children Joseph Messina and his wife Kathleen and Phyllis Messina Gottschalk, her five grandchildren Mary, Christine, Melissa, Joseph and Michael. She will also be greatly missed by her great grandchildren Jack, Liam, Dylan, Frances, Kathleen, her sister Agnes Polizzi and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday June 18, 2014 from 9-10:45am at the Galzerano Funeral Home 430 Radcliffe St Bristol Pa 19007. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:15 am in St Ann Church. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the charity of your choice.
